Praise the Lord! For 92 years The Apostolic Church of God has been shown great grace while being extremely blessed with beautiful sanctuaries, a first -class banquet hall, and a very welcoming family center. Even the pews we sit in have been given by previous generations. As a church family, we've been left with a great responsibility, a great inheritance, along with a great accountability to be a blessing to the generation still to come.
That's why we've established a new legacy campaign that's called Transforming the Future Endowment Fund. The framework to this vision includes building and strengthening the organizational and operational capacities of our ministries. Now more than ever, it's important that we provide spiritual content and programming that continuously fortifies the faith of God's people and equips them to evangelize God's grace to a dying world.
The Kenwood building is 45 years old and Dorchester is 34 years old. Twenty-seven years ago, the kitchen was the state of the art. Slowly, parts are becoming obsolete for repair when stoves, coolers, dishwashers will require replacement. These replacements can run five figures. Our banquet hall has served the congregation well. With the exception of the video screen, our tables, chairs, carpets. carpets are 27 years old as well. Overall, our buildings look pretty good. However, there are capital improvements required for replacement from HVACs to carpet replacement and far more. As those in previous generations did, we must continue to maintain the infrastructure and to make the investment in its presence. preservation. With technology advancing every day, we must ensure that we continue to build our communication strategy to take the word of God global and fulfill our Christian mandate.
This strategy includes building the proper infrastructure for new media, providing the necessary education to stay up to date with the ever -evolving technology, creating new content to expand our reach as we build the new Grace and Truth studios. Investing in communications will ensure that the body of Christ remains connected, informed, and engaged for future generations.
The vision also includes sustaining our educational efforts. We must secure the future for our children and our children's children by investing in the education of preschoolers through college students. Ensuring more scholarship opportunities are available to help open doors to success. We'll also grow our workforce development programs which will help teach employable skills to our community as we develop and mentor entrepreneurs.
Given what you have already heard, we intend to raise $30 million for the legacy campaign entitled Transforming "Transforming the Future." We've already secured commitments from members of the Apostolic Church of God family, and now we're asking for the church -wide membership to join us in this legacy campaign.
You can choose how you want to contribute. You can contribute to the general fund, or you can contribute to specifically education, communications, ministry development, or the church building. Your commitment can be made weekly, monthly, or yearly. We've created special endowment envelopes for you to give. You can also give electronically by texting ACOGL, standing for Legacy, to 28950.
