Ministry Overview

The YAM Collective is the thriving Young Adult Ministry of Apostolic Church of God – Chicago, designed for those aged 18–35 to Belong, Believe, and Become all that God has called them to be. Whether you’re looking for fellowship, spiritual growth, or meaningful connections, we’ve got something for you.
Led by Minister Gary Foster Jr. and The YAM Leadership Circle, the YAM Collective exists to empower young adults through meaningful connection, spiritual growth, and personal development. 

Tribe Structure

 To meet young adults where they are in life, our ministry is divided into three distinct tribes:

 • The Connect (Ages 18–21): Young adults seeking community and foundational growth in early adulthood.
 • The Crew (Ages 22–26): Young professionals and students navigating transitions in life and faith.
• The Culture (Ages 27–35): Established adults pursuing deeper purpose and leadership within their spiritual and personal lives.
 
Together, these tribes form a collective that fosters belonging, belief, and becoming.

Mission Statement 

To inspire and equip young adults to belong to a Christ-centered community, believe in the transformative power of God’s Word, and become the individuals God has called them to be. 

Vision Statement  

A generation of young adults fully aligned with God’s purpose, thriving in faith, empowered in their calling, and united in community.  

Core Values 

The YAM Collective exists to provide young adults with a space to:

 • Belong to a supportive and like-minded community.
 
• Believe through growing their faith and understanding of God’s Word.

 • Become empowered in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives to fulfill their God-given potential. 

Ministry Offerings 

  •  The Kickback (3rd Fridays- excluding the summer) A space for young adults to connect, converse, and grow through real-life discussions with a biblical foundation.


  •  The Alignment (Quarterly) A Bible study experience designed to help young adults realign with God’s Word through interactive learning, worship, and live Q&A.

  • The Gathering(Annually) A dynamic young adult worship experience that brings our community together in worship and prayer.
  • The Link Up (Summer Series) A summer series of adventures and outings to explore the city, have fun, and build friendships beyond the church walls.
